Welcome! Thanks for joining PayPal's Community Forum. I'm sorry to hear a recent transaction hasn't gone quite as you had expected. Normally, how a transaction is captured depends on the merchant. They'll usually only split up a transaction into different payments when there's multiple items per transaction or when they need to fulfill / ship separate items at different times. Were there 9 different tickets being purchased by chance?
Either way, my apologies for the confusion. If the end amount differs from what you agreed on, please don't hesitate to open a Billing Dispute through our Resolution Center. Best wishes on future transactions through PayPal!
