Anybody out there happy with paypal's new non refund policy on fees?

This is total BS, even when only normal business is considered. What consideration has paypal given to the effect of literally weaponizing their payment platform? All that is needed is a paypal payment email address (hardly a secret) and bingo, a $5000 payment sent at 2AM will be received and show up in available funds. It is a "fake" payment sent by a rival to cost me money via the paypal fee. I had a customer that made a $4000+ purchase who had to make the payment three times in order to get an acceptable shipping address associated with the payment. I refunded over $8000 on that one transaction alone and I cannot believe that I am anywhere near alone in this situation. Paypal doesn't even give us the chance to review any payment before it is credited to our account, thus solidifying payments cut of the deal, with no chance that they will have to make a refund. I am switching over the bulk of my payments ASAP. Paypal probably won't really miss my 350K in business, as I realize that it is a really small time affair. But, I will not miss paypal, even a little bit. I suppose that I will use them for their other sundry services, but no longer for receiving payments.

Fortunately, ebay has a new, fully integrated payment platform on the horizon that will not only be over 1% cheaper than paypal, but will also return fees on refunds. Paypal and ebay will be completely divorced in about a year, when their 5 year agreement ends. Sure looks like the light at the end of the tunnel to us.
