Hi everyone,

 

I've consolidated several threads into this one, so everyone can see answers in the same place.

 

The error message is a little confusing because it's generic. I'm sorry about that, but I can clarify here.

 

This error most commonly occurs when there is a formatting discrepancy on one of the addresses going on the label. It can be either the ship-to address OR the ship-from address. Even addresses that have passed validation previously may trip up the validation on subsequent attempts, so it is important to check both addresses even if they have worked before.

 

Go to http://www.usps.com and click to "Look up a zip code". Paste in the buyer's address. If the USPS has the address listed in different formatting, edit it for the label. Remove a business name if that differs. Change "street" to "st" if that's how the USPS has it. Remove trailing spaces if the address you pasted in has them. The validation can be finicky!

 

If the error continues to occur, do the same for your ship-from address. Even if it has worked previously, you may find that this resolves the problem.

I called twice and I am not sure it will ever work again, I came here to check and see for any  new info. They told me it was because of a move to a new platform and since the shipping option is powdered by bowes is it? It is not in thier hands. I am very frustred , I have tons to ship and the bulk mail import option only works for orders made in the last fourteen days.

Me too this is crazy. I dont understand why they dont at least give us some heads up with the issue via email. I guess the work around is use usps.com.

I just had the same problem.  I tried everything, including different browsers, etc.

 

For me it was a must do with paypal, as my package was Parcel Post, and USPS shipping assistant doesn't give me that option.

 

Someone on another forum mentioned to use the paypal multi order shipping function.

 

I did that, and just created the one label, although I could have created as many as I wanted to.   It worked right up until I went to print the label.  I had pop-ups blocked, so my label didn't print.  So I went back to the main overview paypal page and clicked onto transaction details and reprinted the label.

 

So definitely try using the paypal multi order shipping function.  It's free and it works.

multi order shipping requires I type in each name and address . BOO that stinks !!

get our one click shipping working again !!

Hi Weston22s,

 

The error message you're describing can actually indicate a problem with the formatting of either the ship-to or ship-from address. Please take a look at this post for troubleshooting and the probable resolution.

none of those things helped me as soon as i click print shipping label on my home screen it automatically says paypal shipping is unavailablewont go no further then that

Just checked with "customer support" which is an oxymoron if ever I saw one. Not very helpful haven't got a ckue & made me more frustrated than before. apparantly Pitney Bowes who are the supplier of the technology for paypal shipping are upgrading their servers and some one somewhere hasn't done it properly.

 

The last time this happened it took 5 days to fix.

 

All you can do is send an email to tech support and complain. keep sending emails until you get a satisfactory response
