I was checking different things out and noticed two lists that don't match up.
Under Multi Order Shipping, this is the presented list of printers.
Print your shipping labels on a variety of label printers.
Supported printers:
- Brother QL-500
- Brother QL-550
- Dymo 330
- Dymo 330 Turbo
- Dymo 400
- Dymo 400 Turbo
- Dymo Twin Turbo
- Pitney Bowes LPS-1
- Zebra LP 2844
- Zebra LP 2844-Z
- Zebra TLP 3842
Now, under regular shipping stuff the supported list of label printers is much smaller and different with some models not included in the MOS ship, notably the Zebra TLP 3844-Z which is under the shipping preferences list of printers.
In any case, PayPal seems to respond to posts as they see fit but this something that needs to be address for alot of us. So... what is the 100% complete officially supported list of label printers ???

I don't expect anyone from paypal to reply to this but it would be nice if someone somewhere had some sort of answer.

Good question! Please don't mind the copy and paste I'm about to do
Supported printers does vary by what shipping tool you're using. This is going to get messy, so let's see if we can separate these out a bit. Let's start with the basics, shall we?
First - you can always use plain paper to print with
Second - thermal labels are not supported for UPS
Third - for Mac OS, label printers aren't supported. Use plain paper instead.
And without further introduction, here is the full list of supported printers for USPS as of this post.....
For single label USPS printing, printer and label types:
Printer - Brother QL-500
- Label - White Continuous Length Paper Tape = Label Item # DK-2205
- Label - White Continuous Length Film Tape = Label Item # DK-2212
Printer - Brother QL-550
- Label - White Continuous Length Paper Tape = Label Item # DK-2205
- Label - White Continuous Length Film Tape = Label Item # DK-2212
Printer - DYMO LabelWriter 330 and 330 Turbo
- Dymo Internet Postage Labels - 1-Part (PayPal & eBay), 2.4 in x 7.5 in = Label Item #99019
- DYMO 2-Part Internet Postage Labels, 2.25 in x 7.5 in, item number 30384
Printer - Pitney Bowes LPS-1
- Label - Continuous Paper Tape for LPS-1 Label Printer = Label Item # LA0-5
Zebra TLP 3842; Zebra HT-146; Zebra TLP 3844-Z; Zebra LP2844-Z; Zebra TLP2844;
Label - Zebra White, 4 in x 6 in, various item numbers
For MultiOrder USPS shipping, printer and label Types:
- Brother QL-500 & 550 - White Continuous Length Tape = Label Item #DK-2205
- DYMO LabelWriter 330 - Dymo Internet Postage Labels - 1-Part (PayPal & eBay), 2.4 in x 7.5 in = Label Item #99019
- DYMO LabelWriter 330 Turbo - Dymo Internet Postage Labels - 1-Part (PayPal & eBay), 2.4 in x 7.5 in = Label Item #99019
- DYMO LabelWriter 400 - Dymo Internet Postage Labels - 1-Part (PayPal & eBay), 2.4 in x 7.5 in = Label Item #99019
- DYMO LabelWriter 400 Turbo - Dymo Internet Postage Labels - 1-Part (PayPal & eBay), 2.4 in x 7.5 in = Label Item #99019
- DYMO LabelWriter Twin Turbo - Dymo Internet Postage Labels - 1-Part (PayPal & eBay), 2.4 in x 7.5 in = Label Item #99019 and Dymo 2-part Internet Postage Labels - 2.25 in x 7.5 in = Label Item #30384
- Pitney Bowes LPS-1 - Continuous Paper Tape for LPS-1 Label Printer = Label Item # LA0-5
- Zebra LP2844-Z & Zebra TLP3842 - Zebra White, 4 in x 6 in, various item numbers
But wait! Before you go, I have a BONUS round of information! Come on down!
Did you know that you tell PayPal in separate areas which printer to use? This is because different printers are supported for different tools. If you don't change your settings, printing with thermal labels may not work. Here's how to set this up.
To set your printer preference for single label printing only, log in to PayPal but do not open the Multi-Order shipping tool. Go to Profile > Shipping Preferences > Edit Printer Settings > select your printer and click Save. If this route doesn't appear, try Profile > My Selling Tools > Update in the Shipping Preferences section > Edit Printer Settings under US Postal Service Preference > select the printer options then click Save.
To set your printer preference for Multi-Order shipping label printing only, once in the tool, go to Edit > Settings > Print Settings > Label Printer > select the printer you want and click Apply.
I know it's a lot, but you wanted a lot.
Hope this helps!
Adrian

I know how to set default printers for MOS and regular shipping and maybe I missed something but lets slim it down a bit for sake of example and because I own a Zebra printer.
Why is the TLP 3844-Z listed for regular shipping but not MOS ?
I just don't really get why both lists don't share the same printers, for further example all the Zebras print 4x6 and the only difference would I guess be drivers which are ALL available from Zebras site.
I mean you guys at some point obviously tested the TLP 3844-Z and if it works for regular shipping it should work for MOS as well since AFAIK, MOS just means you can print more labels at one time as well as a scan sheet.
All you did with your post is provide what should be a complete list of supported printers by both MOS and regular "singular" shipping.

Oh, ok, you're more interested in the "why is it different?" My apologies!
And really, that's another good question. Sometimes, the addition of what would seemingly be a minor program feature is actually a major one. As the coding changes, not everything works the same - as a result, not all printers will be supported in different versions. I'll certainly be happy to pass your feedback along. I think having the exact same printers for both types would save everyone a lot of headaches.
Programs can be difficult to work with sometimes; I once had a program on my home computer that they added the ability for you to do one extra, little thing: add a note. It broke six main features and they rolled the change back the next week. They never did add it back in, although I'd still love to have the ability to add that note.

Thx for the reply again but if they can make I think its the 2844-Z work for both they should be able to do the same for the 3844-Z (that's the one I own, or will come 3/1/11). Grant it I don't do alot of business to make MOS useful but for all I know that may change.
On that note while I have your attention, this was asked in another thread of mine.
The below number is the specific "sub-model" that I own for the 3844-Z and I was curious if you know if it will work ok with paypal. I read a post here about one guy who bought a printer that was iether a 2844 or a 3844 but couldnt get it to work beause of his "sub model" / version number.

"Third - for Mac OS, label printers aren't supported. Use plain paper instead."
What is the deal, plain paper is an unacceptable substitute. When is paypal going to step up and provide this needed and requested support?
