Unclaimed Payment

I recently bought a Phone on Ebay for £134.00, I paid for the phone on the same day that I won the auction. However the seller claims that the payment hasn't gone through, although I have the reciept and relevent bank statement to prove the money has left my bank account and gone through the PayPal process. The seller says that there is no record of the money being transferred into their account, and the status of the payment is 'Unclaimed' at my end. He also says that his email address is up to date and there is no place on the PayPal website to manually accept the payment. Any ideas?

I also made a purchase for 23.00 and it is still unclaimed on my end and the seller has not got the money.  This was on the 23rd.

Welcome AlexB2502!

There are several possible issues taking place with the transaction, it's possible that the merchant has their email correct on their account, however it may not be confirmed. This would cause a payment to be unclaimed, the merchant wouldn't see the option to claim the payment in this scenario as they would simply need to confirm their email address.

Another scenario that happens quite often is the merchant has provided an incorrect or mispelled email address. This will cause a payment to remain unclaimed, in this situation as the sender of the payment you would see an option to cancel the transaction in the transaction details.

I hope this helps Smiley Happy

The seller tells me that their email address is both correct and confirmed. Is there any other issue that may be causing the transaction to be incomplete?
