I recently purchased an item on ebay and at the end of the transaction it said an error had occurred and to try again later. I did receive an email saying that the payment went through and there is also a pending charge on my bank statement. I contacted the seller and he said that it went through but after he called paypal he said that paypal told him the purchase did not go through. Is there a phone number I can call because I need help. Thank you for anyone that can help.
To call PayPal, login to your PayPal account and click on the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page... there you will find contact instructions and the PayPal phone number for your account.
The pending charge on your bank statement could be a pre-authorization which will drop off after a few days. When you login to your PayPal account, do you see the payment on your PayPal account activity page or your PayPal account history page?
