Made an order, no trace of it on PayPal.

Hi.

I recently made myself a PayPal account as it has been recommended to me in order to do purchases on the Internet. I made my first order Tuesday November 23rd and everything seemed fine, but we're the 26th now and although I received two e-mail confirmations from the company from which I ordered (one of them says that my order will be sent when they receive payment through PayPal), there is no trace of it on my PayPal account nor in my bank account.

My bank account is verified. The credit card linked to my account, though, wasn't verified when I made the order. I realised that today and I did what had to be done in order to verify it and it now is.

Does it have anything to do with the company being in Germany?

Dont be surprised if you dont get your money back. You can go complain to paypal as much as you want, they dont care about the customers problems or if you loose your money they just care that they get paid their fees. I wish these stupid ebay buyers would realize that its not the safest way to pay for auctions. Its the best payment method for scammers and thieves. Good luck.

You're not the only one. I'm afraid I can't help you either. I've bought a few things on a couple of sites this past week and I got myself into a bit of trouble. I apologize if this turns into a long post.

I purchased 2 books and a cd on Buy.com. The order went through. Normally it shows up on Paypal right away. I click over to my account and I'm not seeing it listed. Okay, I decide to wait about 30 minutes. I come back again and it still isn't listed. I start to doubt myself...did I do something wrong? I click back over to Buy.com and I send the order through again. You can tell where this is going, right? Of course the first order finally shows up on Paypal. I freak out and I go back to Buy.com and thankfully they have a live chat option and I talked to somebody that was able to cancel the duplicate order.

A few days ago I go to Barnes and Noble. I saw a Morrissey cd I wanted. I click it and purchase it. Once again it doesn't go through on Paypal. I hold back on resending the order because of the first situation with Buy.com. I wait a couple of days and it still doesn't show up. I click on Barnes and Noble and I sent them an email saying I know I look like a complete dummy here but do you have an order listed for me? I explained the situation and told them I couldn't see my order on Paypal and the cd was still in the cart. I got an email yesterday saying they didn't have an order for me.

I've never had this happen to me before. I'd been away from Paypal and online shopping for a good number of months...I don't really know what to think of it. I'm not sure if I just hit on a bad week because of Black Friday/Cyber Monday and the servers were going crazy over that or what. It's something to be wary about. I wish I could help you more...I just wanted to send this and let you know I've had the problem as well.

Same experience here, used Paypal to proces an order but it has not shown up in my Paypal history, or with my creditcard bank.  How long should I wait before going back and doing it again, any advice?  Will I run the risk of being charged twice this way? Any recall with Paypal in that case or would it all have to go through the merchant ( who does not have a phone or direct email but an online presence)
