Made an order, no trace of it on PayPal.

Hi.

 

I recently made myself a PayPal account as it has been recommended to me in order to do purchases on the Internet. I made my first order Tuesday November 23rd and everything seemed fine, but we're the 26th now and although I received two e-mail confirmations from the company from which I ordered (one of them says that my order will be sent when they receive payment through PayPal), there is no trace of it on my PayPal account nor in my bank account.

 

My bank account is verified. The credit card linked to my account, though, wasn't verified when I made the order. I realised that today and I did what had to be done in order to verify it and it now is.

 

Does it have anything to do with the company being in Germany?

It sounds as if you have a confusing situation on your hands but I will do my best to help sort this out for you.  If you are not seeing the purchase anywhere in your PayPal account then one of two things have happened.

 

Either the purchase did not go through successfully which means you need to send the payment again, or you may have completed the purchase outside of your PayPal account.  There are some merchants who will allow you to complete your payment via credit/debit card without logging into your PayPal account.  In these situations your card will be charged but you will not see evidence of it in your PayPal account.

 

If you did not enter your card number manually when you were trying to submit your payment, then you did not pay in this manner and it would appear that your payment did not complete.  If you did enter your number manually then you did pay in this manner and before sending a new payment I would double check your card statements to ensure you have not already been billed.  Thanks for being part of our community and take care.

Typical PayPal answer...wish we could help but we can't...sorry...check your statement in a month and see if something looks wrong.  Otherwise, good luck.  Why do people still use PayPal?

hi  made 3 orders no trace of it on paypal,  no credit card details given  all paid through paypal..the money has been taken out of my acct by cafepress    how can you help  as this was the reason that i used paypal as a secure pay method,   kind regards jim   (eviejim 10 )

I am experiencing something similar.

 

I made an order on a website, I used the Paypal Express Checkout Feature and it took me to Paypal to sign in.  I signed in and it showed me the amount, I said Checkout and it took me back to the site where they thanked me for the order.  They sent me an email and the order was placed.  However, I do not see the details in Paypal for the payment I made, what is going on?

Welcome to the Community Forum.  The best way to find any transactions that you have completed with your PayPal account is by searching for them in your 'History'.  If you know the date that you made the payment then you can set the date range for the desired time and you will be given all the transaction that occurred during that time period.

 

If you perform this search and are unable to find any trace of your payments then the payments either did not process which could be due to a number of different reasons, or the payments were charged directly to your card without you logging into your PayPal account.  This would only be the case if you manually entered your card number to complete the purchase and did not enter your password and user identification.

to be completely honest i am very happy with pay pal. i had a problem and contacted the supplier direct , they told me that all was in order and had in fact been dispatched to me, after a couple of days the order arrived from the czech republic . i have used pay pal for all my 20 transactions, and so far everything has arrived,  however watch this space !!

hi just really disappointed with the order i made ebay sponcer link when i looked sunday it said the account was suspended then monday it was up and running so i placed the order with ukonlineshoes for ugg boots then sent payment via paypal in the payment it read unverified i was confused so i looked it up contacted ebay they told me to wait 30days. Then i kept sending and still am sending emails but there getting back to me payment eas cleared 4 days later. What can i do i just want to cancel and not happy with there lack of non communication

I have an order that went through on the 8 December, yet there is no record of it in paypal.  I am a seller, and the buyer sent the item back for a refund.  I can view the order and see that it went through on 8 DEC 2010 through paypal, but I have no access to it.  Is there any way you can pull up the paypal transaction with the order number?  How do I refund when I can't access the transaction.  If the buyer cancels the transaction and the payment is rescinded, is there a communication to the seller that this has happened?
