Will mine or my daughter's information show on invoice

Hi everyone my daughter made a personal account using my card now I am using this pay pal account for people to send me money I have a little business I have from home.. As the account is in my daughters name would your name come up on the invoice or the persons bank statement.. I put only my information on the invoice but as the account is in her name I am not sure if hers comes up to.. I have tried making 2 accounts but it won't let me because we have the same address.. Thanks.

Welcome to the Community Forum and to PayPal!

The invoice will be always sent under name of the PayPal account holder, so in your situation it would be your daughter’s name.

I would like to recommend you few solutions here to make using PayPal smooth and effortless 🙂

First, please remember that your should register your private Personal/Premier/Business PayPal account on which you can use only your own financial information. If you will register a business account you will be able to send invoices under your business name!

I would recommend you opening your own PayPal account and removing your card from daughter’s account as she might be asked to confirm ownership of the card which won't be possible.

To open you PayPal account you will need a unique email address (only you should have access to it as all PayPal communication will be sent on it).

...but first remove the card from your daughter’s PayPal account.

Here’s how to remove a debit card or credit card:

1. Go to www.paypal.com/ukand log in to your account.
2. Click Profile near the top of the page.
3. Click My money.
4. Beside ‘Debit and credit cards', click Update.
5. Select the card you want to remove and click Remove.
6. Review the information and then click Remove.

You cannot remove a card if the card was used for a pending transaction.

...then open your own PayPal account.

Signing up is free and all you need is an email address!

Here’s how to sign up for a PayPal account:

1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk.
2. Click ‘Sign Up’ near the top of the page.
3. Select your country or region and your language.
4. Choose the type of account you want and click ‘Get Started.’
5. Enter the required information and click ‘Continue.’
6. Check your email account for a confirmation email from us (the email might take a few minutes to reach your inbox).
7. Click the confirmation link in the email.
8. Enter your password and click ‘Login.’

After you've signed up, you can immediately use your PayPal account to send and receive money.

You can have the same postal address in both accounts - there is no problem with that.

When you will open the account, you will be able to add your credit/debit card.

Here’s how to add a card to your PayPal account:

1. Go to www.paypal.com/ukand log in to your account.
2. Click 'Profile' near the top of the page.
3. Select 'My money'.

• If you've never added a card to your account before, in the 'Debit and credit cards' section, click 'Add Card'.
• Otherwise, in the 'Debit and credit cards' section, click 'Update', and click 'Add Card' on the next page.

1. Enter the required information and click 'Link Card'.
