Received money from airbnb but cant see the amount in bank account

After receiving the payment from airbnb (through my transaction history) i checked with paypal whether the money were visible on paypal website, and they were. I could see on my paypal account that i received the funds on certain date, but my balance showed 0.00 So, i check my bank account to see whether the money were transfered from my paypal account straight to my bank account (my paypal account is linked with my electron visa), but no funds were received. And i am wondering, were are these funds and how to view them? Therefore, It is a bit confusing to understand where the money goes when i receive money (in this case from airbnb). Regards,

Hi Panais,

Welcome to the PayPal community forum. New members are always welcome.

If you have received a payment in to your PayPal account then it should be on your PayPal balance. It may be that your payment is placed in a pending balance if you are a new seller. These are called payment holds .

I would also advise to go to your recent activity on your PayPal account to see if you can view the payment there. If you can click on details it will show you if the funds are on hold or pending or available for use.

I hope this helps and thanks for posting

Hello Paula, Thank you for your message. In my latest activity i can see the funds received but the balance is 0.00. Also when i click to view the details as you kidly suggested, a list of details appears with some basic information about this transaction e.g. Transaction ID and status of transaction, which says 'Completed'. But nowhere in this Transaction Details page I can see any where mentioning whether the funds are on 'hold', 'pending' or even 'available'. Is there any other procedure to check whether my funds are in pending balance or not? Also, what is the purpose of payment holds? And why isn't there a notice about this in my paypal account profile clarifying this?
