How to verified if account is real or fake ?

I have a seller to pay for some items, but before i pay I'd like to verified if the seller's PayPal account is real. How can I find out if the account is real or fake ?

I do have the seller email address.

If you pay and it doesn't go through then the account doesn't exist, if it goes through then it does.
