I am trying to pay for something online. It has a paypal option and i did it before and it opened the payment option in paypal but now it goes to paypal home page

You may be required to open a PayPal account if you do not already have one. Although you can checkout on PayPal as a guest, the system will only allow you to do this so many times before requesting you open an account.
