Bank transfer got cancelled.

Hey

I received money from a single person, he sent me about 3 payments which all were above 100$.

All of those payments stated that they were pending. And after waiting a week. The payments got automaticly cancelled by Paypal. The product he payed for was succesfully sent to him. He did pay with his bank account.

Is there any way I can evade this problem in the future? Or possibly get the money back.

Is your UK paypal account set up to receive dollars as well as sterling??

When the payment occured, my telephone number was not verified yet. Is that the problem?

I’m sorry to hear about the issue.

It sounds like the bank account owner has cancelled the payments which are called an ACH returns. You can learn more about them here: http://ow.ly/R05OY.

Hi DarkRaider462,

All buyers have the option to contact their bank and request a payment to be cancelled. It is then down to their bank if they wish to request the cancellation of the payment.  As far as I know the banks have strict criteria for this so you not see it very often. It can also be that the direct debit was cancelled at their bank.

I would recommend going forward to not ship any items until the payment shows as completed. This way you can be sure the payment has cleared before you ship.
