American Express card on Ryanair website

I wanted to pay with PayPal on Ryanair website for my flight but I could not choose American express card - only my bank account. Is there any reason of it?

Same thing for me. I had to go out of paypal website and pay with american express card directly from ryanair website.

No one knows the reason?
