item lost in mail, what now?

I sent some computer memory ($25) using "Canada Post small packet air" to a buyer's paypal address 26 days ago.

The buyer has now contacted me claiming the item has not arrived. I have reciepts and paperwork with dates and address', but there is no tracking number.

Am I protected by Paypal or Canada Post? what's the best course of action to take from here?

Thanks.

Canada Post gives you $100 coverage for that type of service and you have to wait 45 days before claiming or just call them any time and they will prepaire a report for that delay.

Phone Canada Post. The 1800 number is on the website (canadapost.ca). Have the shipping invoice number from your receipt handy for the clerk.

Twenty six days is probably too soon, but the clerk will give you a call back date.

If there is no number, ask the clerk for her advice. The women are very smart cookies and very helpful.
