How long can PayPal payments sit without withdrawl (deposit to bank account)?

I'm a Canadian, and I'm doing some web development contract work for a fellow in the USA. He recently payed me a sum of money via PayPal.

The current exchange rate is 0.92 CAD = 1.00 USD.
I'm in no rush for the money - does PayPal have rules for how long this sum can sit in my account before transfer to my bank before some sort of deductions? I'd like to make the transfer when the exchange is higher.

Also, not that I'm worried about the guy I'm working for now, but in the future, I'm also curious to know if it's possible for the contractor to revoke the cash after a certain number of days?

If you are not responding on behalf of PayPal, please provide links to the terms or clause that answers both questions.

Thanks!

Hello tommypickles,

Welcome to the Forums.

PayPal does not have any rules in regards to how long you leave your money in the PayPal account, you are more than welcome to leave your funds in your account until the exchange rate changes with no penalty. I can understand why you would want to do that. And there is not a way for your client to revoke the cash from your PayPal account. I hope this helps.
