Single post charges for multiple same items ??

Hi new to all this I need to know how to set P&P to increase if more of the same items are ordered? If you order different items them P&P increases per item great, but if you just increase the quantity of the same item then the P&P stays at single cost and doesn't increase any ideas??

1. Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.
2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
3. Click ‘Postage Calculations’ under ‘Selling Preferences.’

I am having this problem but under ->profile  -> Selling Preferences I dont have postal calculations
