PDT or IPN

about 10 years ago I added PDT to a website.

That site is now defunct as is the hostname.

I'm planning on adding some buynow buttons to a new site but things have changed slightly

and I can no longer remember the details anyway.

I have my basic PDT script but on creating some new sandbox accounts and working

on the developer site I see IPN testing is listed but not PDT.

Has PDT been deprecated?

Also - is there now a PDF file with the IPN/PDT variables and responses somewhere?

I can't locate any reasonable documentation anywhere.

PDT is still an option as an alternative to IPN. You will find the variables and responses here https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/ipn/integration-guide/IPNandPDTVariables/?mark=pdt . The page https://developer.paypal.com contains lots of useful information to assist you with your PayPal integration.
