International Payments

My partner and I have just set up a website for selling our single product. The product is priced on the website in £, however as we intend to sell worldwide and also need to accept international payments. Our shopping cart provider does not support multiple currencies. Therefore, will paypal be able to convert the £ price to the customer's preferred currency at payment?

If it can, is there anything I need to do on the back end of paypal to set this up?

Thanks

Hi Slotzz_Ltd,

If you are intigrating PayPal to your website and your items are listed as being sold in GBP, you have the ability to receive payments from other customers in different countries.

For example, if a buyer in the United States purchases an item from you, they will see the total amount of the payment in GBP. When they are completing the checkout, they will be advised how much they are being charged in their local currency (which in this case would be USD) and this would then be transferred to the GBP amount of the item that they are purchasing from you.

This means that you can sell items and receive the funds in your local currency and your buyers can process payments through your website using PayPal in their local currency.

I hope this information helps Smiley Happy

David.

hi

I want to have some pages/items priced in £s and some in $s on my site. I've checked with my shopping cart and I can do it with them by having 2 accounts BUT can I do it within paypal? and if so, more importantly, how?

thanks

Karen
