Help with unconfirmed transaction please

Hi

I have an order together with an unconfirmed paypal payment for over £200.  I have had chargebacks in the past so will only send out to uncomfirmed addresses if I can link the address to the customer.  In this case I could not find a link and emailed the customer to contact me.  Several days have passed and no contact from customer.

Is there anything else I can do?

If you do not want to go ahead with the transaction you can always refund the buyer.

Make sure you use the refund option next to the transaction in your paypal account or when you click details as you will get the fee you were charged when they made the payment part refunded as well.

Was it an international transastion? If so then only US, Canada and UK countries have confirmed addys.

Also an unconfirmed addy does not render you seller protection ineligable, what does it say on the payment email you got does it say you are seller protected?

However if you have concerns for that amount of money err on the side of caution.

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

The paypal status is 'partially eligible', so no protection for an unauthorised transaction as a website sale.

I usually manage to resolve these matters with a 192 people check but this name is obscure.  Guess Iwas hoping that paypal could check the card for me as they will lose their fee if I end up refunding.

It is difficult but without any more info or contact from my customer there is no way I am taking the risk of sending the product purchased out.
