Customer Payment details & Currency queries

Hi,

Am new to this and looking to sell digital products (ebooks).

Can you please let me know what customer details I'll receive from Paypal when they buy?

(I really need the email address to be able to send them the e-book)

Also, is there an automatic way of sending the e-book once payment clears?

How quickly do payments clear? This is relevant as I need payment to clear in order to send the ebook out.

At the moment I'm only targetting the UK. When I target other English speaking countries like USA, Canada, Australia etc is there any easy way to change the currency automatically so they'll see the relevant currency for them?

What are the costs associated with the above as well?

Apologies if this is somewhere on the system - I just can't seem to find the information.

Many thanks!

Bob

Hi BobKondal,

Thank you for posting and welcome to the Community Forum!

When you receive a payment on your PayPal account you are able to see the buyer’s name, email address and their postal address. A payment usually clears within a minute so you should see it in your PayPal activity nearly immediatelly.

In regards to an automatic system and the option for different currencies, I would recommend you contacting our Sales Team using this link: https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/merchant or call 0800 358 7929. The team will be able to advise you on the most suitable solutions.

You can also find lots of very useful information here: https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/partners-and-developers.

To learn more about PayPal fees, visit this link: https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/paypal-fees

Hope it helps 🙂

Happy transacting with PayPal !
