3D secure and Paypal Pro, HELP!!!

Hi everyone, Happy New Year.
 
I have registered with cardinal and have my passwords etc, I'm using OPENCART 1.5.6.
 
I've asked this question below to loads of people and they either don't understand or don't really know the answer.
 
I hope you can help.
 
I have a Paypal button on my store, I do not want a credit card button on checkout, I just want Paypal.
When a customer clicks paypal they get taken to the paypal page.
On this Paypal page they can either:
Log in and pay with their Paypal account.
or
Sign up for a Paypal account and use a credit card there and then! (could be a stolen card) the sign up process is not like the normal Paypal sign up where Paypal confirms the bank etc, this option; where they can sign up for a Paypal account when buying means anyone can put any details in and use a stolen card, because I sell digital goods we get a lot of charge backs from fraudulent cards.
 
Will 3D secure work at this point?  when the customer chooses to sign up for a Paypal account and use a credit or debit card at this point will 3D secure ask them for their password/pin number?
 
If no then does that mean I have to have a 2nd button on my checkout saying "pay by card", this will be pointless as someone that uses fake cards will just click "pay with Paypal" and then on the Paypal page create a new Paypal account and will use the stolen card there.
 
I hope you can answer this for me.

Hi Annunaki,

 

Apologies for late response.

 

We can switch Switching Optional Account for New Buyers which is an option for customer to pay by card as a guest. 

 

3DS is a different thing. PayPal Standard won’t use 3DS at all, because we use stored card info and it’s a “wallet” environment rather than a card payment. We’re not submitting cvv2 and we’re not the actual merchant.

 

3DS will be used as part of PayPal Pro in HSS checkout (automatically) and Direct Payment (you will need to integrate it).

I need a help as well please. I am upgraded to paypal pro and using in magento. Cannot get it work . I registered with Cardinal Commerce. They checked all my settings and confirmed are all correct.

When I trying to pay getting an error “This card has failed validation and cannot be used.”

Please any help.
