selling with ebay and using Paypal to pay for it

Hi there, Kernowlass answered my original question about if someone pays with Paypal for an ebay item and once you have sent it they can reclaim the money sent by either Filing a dispute for non receipt of item. They received the item but it wasn't as described or they can do a charge back. I can't afford to lose either the new phone or the money if anything went wrong.

I would like to know which is the best way to protect myself?  An ebayer has said he will buy the iPhone on Friday and pay into my Paypal account but as mentioned before I cant afford anything going wrong. I did say to the guy that I would send it by courier (Hermes), thinking I would be safe. Am I right?? any help would be appreciated.

Hello tomot_db,

Welcome to the PayPal community.

The main thing we would advise when selling online through PayPal would be to use a track-able method of postage. This means if a buyer claims they have not received the item, we can check the tracking number online to see if the item has been delivered.
