cancelling a refund

hello all. I recently sold a item on eBay. the buyer wasn't originlly happy with the box I used to post the item and he issued a refund via eBay. so i refunded the buyer. but after a couple of eBay exchanged the buyer now wants to keep the item. so I've asked for the refund to be returned and sent a money request from PayPal. but I've not hear anything from the seller any more. so I was wondering if there was a way to cancel the refund i issued or to get it postponed till this can be sorted.

Gosh you should never issue a refund until your item has been returned, even if the buyer opened a dispute they would have to return the item first.

No one unfortunately can force him to pay you again, I think your only action could be the small claims court, sometimes telling the buyer you are going to go down that route gets you your payment.

yeah this was the 1st time dealing with a return. I was hopping there was a way to postpone the refund or get it frozen.

If you funded the refund from your bank account and its still pending then talk to your bank and see if they will cancel it for you?
