Pending balance is less than the item was sold on Ebay?

I recently sold an item for 271 with free shipping on Ebay and Ebay has confirmed full payment, yet only 262 is in my paypal?!? I know ebay charges 9% and if paypal does too, I'll be really **bleep**.

Yes of course paypal charge a fee. How else could you receive debit or c.c. funded payments?

You pay ebay to list and advertise your item and you pay paypal to receive payments from your buyers.

I thought Paypal was online banking, but looks like its just a site trying to make enormous profit from mediocre services. Appreciate the reply.
