Paypal Permanently Limited Account — circa 7 years ago

Like the title states, roughly 7 years ago I made a silly mistake: I lent my PayPal account to my brother who had his small online company running; reason for allowing this is that he himself ran into problems with PayPal, he had his account Permanently Limited and I didn't want him to lose his business/money, it gave him some leeway to figureout his next step and the intention was to only have it sieve via my account for 2-3 weeks; 2 weeks later the exact same limitation cursed my account — not a big deal I thought to myself, I wasn't fully aware of the long term consequences that would ensue due to this rash decision. Large sums of money were flushed in and out of my Personal Account on daily basis throughout that bout; I realise how bad that must have looked and actually was a illicit, there's a reason as to why the Business Accounts are a thing, right? Anyways, after several attempts, few weeks later my brother got his account back and running and to this day is enjoying PayPal services; while after all those years I'm still calmped by this dreaded limitation (I've tried phoning the customer service up, but to no avail, I never got to explain the situation).  I've been primarly using PayPal's competitors as my primary payment processors for online payments and since we are living in the advent of cryptocurrency, also bitcoin. However, PayPal is ubiquitous, almost everyone has one and everyone accepts or at has least heard of it. As a freelance graphic designer, it's often crippling to not be able to accept PayPal payments, as it's most people's go to payment method; also the red lights and alarm bells probably chime in customers' minds, impugning my integrity. I'm not banned or limited from any other platform other than PayPal and I'd love to know if there is a solution for this predicament I find myself in. Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Sincerely,

Jakub.
