I am a UK Paypal user. I have sold a few items on Ebay but have noticed recently that I don't seem to be able to withdraw the whole amount that has been deposited. The last payment was for £44.65 from another British user, but there was only £42.93 available to withdraw (no other payments due to come out). Is Paypal now taking a cut from Ebay payments?
Thanks, Nikki

Taking a cut???
Do you think paypal was a charity?? Unfortunately there workers like to be paid at the end of the week like the rest of us do.
You pay ebay to advertise and sell your items.
You pay paypal to be able to receive card funded payments from buyers.
So yes you pay 3.4% + 20p per transaction.

That's all very well, but I sold an item for 0.25p, Ebay took 0.02p and PayPal took the remaining 0.23p! How can that be right?

Well that was your choice for starting the bidding so low.
I work out a starting price so that if the item goes for that price i have enough to cover fees and a small profit..........if that starting price means the item won't sell then i don't list it.
Hardly paypals fault you have not done any research on the amount you are likely to get for an item.

I guess they started doing this since it is free now to withdraw your money to your account whereas they used to charge you to do this, and if you did not do that and spent the money again on paypal then they got nothing so now they take it at 3.4% in my view this is daylight robery they should reduce this to half of this and it will still be a **bleep** cash register.

When you have saved just one little person from being scammed rather then the hundreds that i have your opinion ''may'' be worth listening to.
