Hi I posted an item 2nd class unrecorded Royal Mail and the buyer says the item has not been received. Another item I posted the same day was received by another buyer. My issue is the buyer has a zero rating, only just joined eBay and wanted the item posting to a different address. I guess you could say I am having doubts that this buyer is trying to pull a fast one. As it was sent 2nd class with no tracking, where do I stand? Do I just have to refund him and take the loss? Thanks for any advice!

If he files a dispute for non receipt then you would probably lose on 2 counts.
You lost Paypal seller protection when
1. You sent to an address that was not the buyers Paypal registered address.
2. You sent un-tracked.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Thank you for your response! You live and learn I guess. I’ve never really sold much on eBay so I thought I was being helpful by sending to the address they wanted. From now on, everything will be send tracked! It still may turn up, it could be delayed due to the snow we’ve had but I’m not holding out much hope.
