The disputed project was completed almost 6 months back. It was for a 3D character named Dot T, initiated on June 26, 2023, and completed on October 10, 2023, as per the agreed terms and conditions.
The project, priced at USD 1750, was executed to the client's satisfaction, with all requested high-quality renders and project files promptly delivered upon completion already given in October 2023.
Michael [removed] expressed his contentment with the final deliverables as highly satisfied and even expressed interest in establishing a long-term partnership. Furthermore, subsequent projects were undertaken and completed satisfactorily, with payments made accordingly, totaling approximately an extra USD 5200.
However, on February 8, 2024, Michael [removed] requested additional files for the Dot T model, specifically an FBX file and a 10-second rotation video, intended for 3D printing purposes. These requests were not part of the original agreement established eight months prior. I, therefore, communicated to the client that additional payment would be required for these newly requested deliverables as it requires extra effort and time.
Regrettably, this led to Michael raising a dispute via PayPal, claiming an unjustified amount of USD 3200, which includes amounts from the other two projects too which again were successfully done after the character dot t project which is unfair.
Despite my attempts to address the issue directly with Michael, he insisted on withholding funds until his demands were met, disregarding the terms initially agreed upon. But he claimed and I submitted all proof to PayPal that I had submitted the work and project files already which was accepted by client Michael [removed]. Paypal had decided in favour of the client making my account negative of $3200 which is unacceptable.
I would like to question this decision of PayPal and request advice and process flow to do so.
