Hello,

Im trying to sell World of Warcraft Gold. I found a buyer but he told me a very generous amount for my gold which made me very skeptical.

What would happen if the buyers paypal account was hacked, but he already received the gold?

i would make sure that i have everything recorded, but how would i get my gold back(cash would be fine as well), if the buyers account was hacked and blizzard doesn't give me my gold back?

thanks for all help inb4!

Hello @gubblebum

Welcome! Thanks for joining the PayPal Community Forum! I can certainly understand your hesitation when selling to someone offering more than what you're asking. That's certainly a red-flag, and while there's risk involved in every sale, this still may be a legitimate exchange. However, if the buyer were to go to their card company and report the transaction as unauthorized, it would be considered a Chargeback, which is certainly different than how a regular PayPal dispute is handled. I'd recommend reviewing the following resources to make sure you're comfortable with the risk involved selling WoW gold.

What is PayPal Seller Protection?

What is a chargeback, and why did I get one?
What are common scams and how do I spot them? (this is a US-based article, but still has some great info you may find useful)

I hope that helps! Good luck with this and future sales through PayPal,
