Scammed by Wellnee

When I tried to order one pack of Wellnee patches on line I got a message stating my order was declined. Next day I received an email saying they were shipping me 4 four times what I tried to order. I email them immediately to cancel that order to to avail. They sent me a tracking no instead.. After two more emails I am being ignored.. They even set up an Automatic Payment in my Pay Pal account to make it look as if I did it.. Naturally I have cancelled it.. I Google them to discover several people have been scamed in the same way.. Any advice?

I had a similar experience. I ordered one pack to try, around £12-13. Order went through as 2 lots of 4 packs, over £80. It was a chaotic website with pages constantly opening making offers. As soon as I saw the transactions on on PayPal I went through the cancellation process on the site, within minutes of the order, but was told it had already been processed and was ready for delivery. I messaged PayPal to say I disputed the payments but the came back to me saying the payments had gone through correctly. I tried to do a return and refund but was told only one lot of 4 packs could be returned as I had disputed the other and had initiated a chargeback. I have now initiated a chargeback with my credit card company and am awaiting the result. I haven't returned as it would cost me over £20, and my credit card company told me to inform them the parcel was ready for collection. Their response was they do not have the facility for collection. I went on to Trust Pilot to add my review, only to find that Wellnee had closed down their site. But lo and behold there is a new website with apparently hundreds of positive reviews!!!

Disgusting customer service! I clicked on a link that I assumed was showing me what their discounted price was, however, this link was actually signing me up for an automated payment so seconds later I realised this I emailed the company to let them know I wasn’t interested in buying only wanting to see prices etc, but they had already charged my card & wouldn’t reply to my emails until I opened a dispute with PayPal - they are now saying they cannot refund me as my item was shipped, however my email clearly shows that it was only minutes after I received their email thanking me for my purchase that I have emailed immediately back & explained that I didn’t want to purchase as I was only looking on their site - I had no return email!!!! This is still being reviewed by PayPal now! Terrible company!!!!

Just had the same experience. Two unauthorised payments went through my PayPal account amounting to £80. The Wellnee web site is designed to scam visitors as there was no obvious check out procedure. I wanted to test a few patches..my wife needs help... by taking up the Black Friday offer. I was never shown a shopping basket to check what I was buying before authorising. As a result I shut down the web site only to find two payments had been taken from PP and even worse they were repeating orders apparently. PayPal are actively supporting these questionable people as far as I can see and I am eventually closing my account with them (PayPal) as clearly they cannot be trusted with my business. I also immediately stopped (or tried to) the so called orders to prevent them being fulfilled but of course Wellnee are so 'efficient' that shipment is apparently instantaneous so refunds cannot take place. The Customs admin charges and duty on goods from the US are already prohibitive in UK so let Trump bring on his tariffs so we don't have to do business with unscrupulous people in the US.

I have had exactly the same experience: browsing the site, searching for more information about Pain Relief Patches with a view to perhaps purchasing one box as a trial resulted in payment being taken for 4 boxes + P&P.  Immediately I received an acknowledgment that an order had been received I made the first of several unsuccessful attempts to cancel it. The company's terms state that customers wishing to cancel an order that has not been shipped should fill out a Request form. This I did, but again without success. In spite of everything, my order is showing as 'in transit'.

Very fortunately I spotted that, without my knowledge or authorisation, payment terms had been altered to 'Automatic', and I was able to cancel that before more money could be taken.

I'd like advice, please. The package is due to be delivered. I do not want it, I shall not open it, I do not want to pay what are doubtless exorbitant fees to return it. What should I do?

I had similar problem with Wellnee.  My order for two boxes had added to it an additional four boxes.  An email to Wellnee provided no correction.

From what I read here it seems unlikely this will be corrected satisfactorily.  Should checked here before placing an order.  I have always used Paypal

for placing orders with unknown companies but did not realize there was a way to bypass the checkout procedure I have always seen when using Paypal.

Previously a final screen was provided to be sure the order was being handled correctly before submission.

Just happened to me today. Thought I was ordering a ‘special deal’ with them…… 4 boxes for $44.80. Then received 2 emails from Wellnee with two order numbers advising I requested 4 boxes plus knee pads on each email, adding up to $163 total. I’ve tried to cancel within 4 hours but no replies. What I want to know is why is PayPal allowing this group to let consumers use them when they have had complaints against the group. PayPal’s sales pitch is: ‘Join the millions of people who trust PayPal to send, spend, and donate money quickly and securely.’ ‘Shop online safely Check out with PayPal at millions of websites globally. No matter your funding source, we help make transacting secure.’ TRUST…. SECURITY. That’s why I use PayPal and I have been let down by them!! Money is hard enough to earn as it is. I have used PayPal to hopefully be safe from scammers. What hope do we have?!

My thoughts exactly. I use PayPal for what I thought was extra protection. But when I disputed the charges and explained exactly what I had ordered and that I had been charged for they took the side of the company. They need to look at the many similar complaints here, on TrustPilot and probably other places too. This company is scamming people out of a lot of money. They also set up a monthly subscription on my account, which luckily I was able to cancel.

Exactly the same has happened to me.When I complained first of all after me going back and forward she said the cost for me to return them would be expensive so she offered me 40% off the price.I was thinking well I suppose 40% is a lot of money but it would probably be better than nothing.Next thing I was told as I had opened a dispute with PayPal it was up to them to give me the money I pointed out they had the money and it was up to them to give me the money.I am stressed with this who can afford £81 30 I know I can’t.The parcel came through Evri and I sent it back at no charge. The name of the scammer I’m dealing with is July Fe up till now I haven’t had a refund did anyone else get a refund

I had this happen on Saturday. I ordered one box and then was charged for 3 separate ones. Uncontested the company straight away and didn't get a reply until yesterday saying it was too late to cancel. They had also set up a pre authorised card so they could go back and take more. Contacted PayPal have had the pre authorisation taken off and also been refunded for one order but not the others. Such a scam
