Recently had been in a car accident resulting in me being hospitalized for a few days. Once released I come to find that my phone and wallet are missing. I look online to find that my Paypal debit card had been used and my account messed with by way of my phone that I use for all my PayPal related business,so that the thieve or thieves could use my card for whatever they were wanting to do. Once seeing all this I contact PayPal and inform them of what had happened including my accident obviously etc etc, long story longer, when all is sad and done, investigation results in all usage of my card and account and the loss of all my funds which was needed for my rent is deemed legitimate and authorized transactions so I won't be getting my money back when CLEARLY IT WAS NOT AUTHORIZED OR LEGIT! PAYPAL IS FREAKING ABSOLUTELY LUDICROUS! YOU CLAIM THERE IS BACK FOR US IN THESE SITUATIONS, that your here and there to help when these things arise if and when they do. Only to come to find that you are all a bunch of lying phony completely false in all your advertised fine print and that you just have no true intentions of helping legit honest hard working people when garbage people strike and commit these hardships for us. Your fine print print should read something more like: "If you have any problems, don't bother, because 'WE', 'US', i.e. 'PayPal', have no desire to aid in your, far as we are concerned, unfounded hardships. Moreover, ultimately, WE JUST DONT GIVE A FRICK. So in advance, thanks for your money and have a crap day! " Your company has fallen further down the garbage shoot in these past few years and it's more than evident by way of the unending pages of posts and comments providing proof I'm not the only person having this happen. Absolutely infuriating. So once again, thanks for nothing.

I think you are responsible for your cards safety and phone,

If you had biometrics or passkey on phone then how did they access your account?

PayPal doesn't cover you for all unauthorized access so your best bet is to go read up on it.

Also will your card issuer help with chargebacks?

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

My card is the PayPal debit card. Are you suggesting that outside of PayPal themselves that contacting MasterCard would actually be in some way beneficial ? They would handle unauthorized transactions also totally separate and apart from PayPal ?? Or am I misinterpreting your suggestion? Otherwise if that is what your saying then thank you because I had not thought it was an option. Assumed I would be told to contact PayPal regarding the problem and that MasterCard is not in any way liable. But I guess that is dumb on my part now rereading some of the literature regarding PayPal MasterCard debit card. Geez... derrderrderr So thanks man. But yeah tell me if I'm infact understanding your reply.thanks again.
