Permanently Limited Account

Hello, so I’m a new user from Indonesia and is trying to figure out PayPal, for international transactions. So I made an account and figured out shipping, and yesterday my account was limited. I gave my information as it was asked, but now I’m permanently limited?? I don’t understand what I did wrong, and is there anyway to reverse this? Or resolve the issue? P.S, I sell TCG cards, so nothing supposedly illegal? I’m genuinely baffled what raised my accounts “suspicions”…

Most common reasons for an account limitation are:-

1. You have a previously limited account (temporary or permanent) and you have tried to open a new account and not resolved the issues with the other account first.
2. Using a VPN.
3. Not living in the country where you opened your Paypal account.
4. Being under 18 / minor account.
5. Having 2 Paypal accounts or more of the same account type.
6. Not having your legal name on your Paypal account.
7. Selling items (often virtual or digital) that Paypal consider a high risk of disputes/chargebacks.
8. Using the friends/family option for sales transactions to try and evade Paypal fees and risk of disputes.
9. Too many disputes/claims.
10. Violating their acceptable use policy.

Normally you can't appeal a permanent limitation however if its none of the above reasons then you could try and contact customer services to appeal?

Thanks, and yes, so far I haven’t violated any of the user agreements, I had the items, I gave them my data, it’s just playing cards, no abnormal activity…I messaged them as I can’t get a hold via call, hope everything goes swimmingly and I get back to doing transactions not limited to nationally🥲 Will update if there is any, thanks anyways for the help🙏

Think option 7 may apply to you as they are digital / virtual transactions?

The thing is, it’s a physical card and people in the FB group uses PayPal all the time, and I’ve seen people do the same, so what makes my case exclusive that they perma-limit…

hello so just an update, finally my PayPal account’s limitation have been lifted and I can use it at full access. It just took one call, which caused some troubles cuz it was an SGP number, but nevertheless one call was all it took! Thank you so much for helping out @kernowlass, and the wonderful staff, Miss Sarah🙏

When I called, they had a few options for languages if I’m not mistaken. You just need to explain your situation, and they will cross check your data, asking address, BOD, standard stuff, to make sure you are the owner and it has to be the account owner calling, and not someone doing it on your behalf. Then it took them a day to reference check and get my account back online.

Hello Mas, since we’re both Indonesian. May I know how much you spent on the pulsa to call? As I have same problem with you on the permanently limited account and would like to prepare the pulsa so that my call doesn’t end midway.
