Permanent limitation

Hello Can I know why I can longer use PayPal? Is there any thing I can do? Or is there any clarification you need from me concerning the document I submitted to you? Because I know that the document I submitted has all my three legal names on it starting from my surname first. But while filling in request for the PayPal account creation I start with my first name. Kindly note that my first name is Andrew [removed] and my surname is [removed] while on the document submitted my surname was captured first before my first name I wish you can reconsider your decision on this please Thanks

You need to contact customer services to resolve any limitation or account specific issues.
Click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available for your country.

Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?

Hi @svobo1,

Thank you for your post. I'm sorry to hear of the limitation. A limited account cannot be closed until and unless the limitation can be resolved. I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Olivia

Same problem here. Nothing more than a reference to me violating the acceptable use clause, but can't explain what I was unacceptably doing

I was also permanently limited with no reason, even though when I checked the user agreement again we have not been doing any activity that is not in line with the agreement.

I submitted all the documents required. A cursory google search would show our business is legitimate and has been functioning for years now.

I am unable to contact customer service, when I open the page all I get is the community option.

I went on Facebook chat and they were not helpful they just told me it's permanent and they have no response as to why.

Paypal was sending my clients messages that my business is fraudulent and a scam.

This is absolutely unacceptable and tarnishes the reputation of our business.

We did not receive any warning or email from Paypal asking to receive any further information or documents, just woke up one day with emails from clients asking why are they receiving emails that our business is a scam and they can't make payments?

Paypal is ruining the livelihoods of innocent people and businesses.

Everyone who posts on here about being limited always says that they had broken no rules. However Paypal do not ban you for 0 reason. What would be the point? They make far more money from you using your Paypal account than interest on any held money.

It doesn't matter if the limitation is resolved. I contacted PayPal about a fraudulent login immediately and contacted my financial institution. My financial institution dealt with ut, PayPal did not, and put a permanent limitation on my account. I have never had a balance on my account and only used it for payment transactions convenience. I've spoken to customer service about permanently termination of my account and they simply won't do it and are holding my financial data hostage. Horrible financial procedures.

Did they ever reach out to you to give a logical reason?

No, this approach doesn't work. I've been a victim of fraud which I caught within 4 hrs via PayPal and my CC institution. It was directly charged, against PayPal, not my CC company. I contacted PayPal, removed all CC but was required to leave 1 account active. I contacted PP resolution who has "resolved" the claim, but has provided NO explanation AND will not allow me to terminate andcremove all financial data and risk. I changed all of my security access and removed all subscriptions. I've done everything I can legally do to protect myself, yet PP continues to hold my financial data for their own purposes. There is no reason or value fir doing this other than creating more risk for me. Every attempt is met with the same response, "PayPal cannot close your account due to a permanent limitation due to an unresolved problem." By PP's own communication the issue IS resolved.
