PayPal will not refund unauthorized payments made by someone who hacked my account

PayPal refuses to get me refunded after someone got into my account and made purchases with it, which was two payments on someone else's Discord (I have never put my payment info into discord), PayPal then claimed it "wasn't unauthorized" after I tried to dispute it. What should I do?

Think it depends on how they accessed your account?

Paypal does not cover you for everything, so if you allowed access even inadvertently by your device being stolen or you answering a spoof email etc then that would be your responsibility.

Never had my device stolen and never opened emails that weren't from reputable sites, I delete any email that looks evenly remotely questionable in it's title, I just saw on PayPal one day purchases I didn't make were on it and don't know what to make of it. How do I even get my money back, do I contact Discord about it? Or do I just cut my losses here and I was successfully robbed with some new method that hasn't been countered by PayPal yet?

Those were examples as there are lots of other ways you may have been hacked that would have been an error on your side.

If not then all you can do is contact customer services and appeal?

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a private direct message via Social Media on Facebook, Twitter/X, or Instagram pages.
