@kernowlass
Hi, I want to ask you that I am a student and the money that was in my account was not only mine it wass $2,240. I am just a student I started a work just to support my education expense and my family expense and I am in really debts if they don't allow me to withdraw that money it will be really hard situation for me and my family because supplier is asking for the money which I owe them and If I am not able to pay them I am really thinking to do a suicide because I don't have any other option to manage this lose. I haven't received any warning for any thing suddenly they just restricted my account and I am requesting them to allow me to withdraw otherwise I don't have any option other than suicide. I am just crying and praying if they allow me to withdraw this money I am telling them to please understand my condition.

Hi, I am facing the same problem as you. And even Paypal is not allowing me to withdraw my money. All they said is you can withdraw after 180 days and at this point I am not sure if 180 days they will allow me to withdraw it or give any other excuse.

Have a scan through these and see if any of them apply, I have selected what I have found caused a permanent ban most commonly over the years.
Most common reasons for an account limitation are:-
1. You have a previously limited account (temporary or permanent) and you have tried to open a new account and not resolved the issues with the other account first.
2. Using a VPN.
3. Not living in the country where you opened your Paypal account.
4. Being under 18 / minor account.
5. Having 2 Paypal accounts or more of the same account type.
6. Not having your legal name on your Paypal account.
7. Selling items (often virtual or digital) that Paypal consider a high risk of disputes/chargebacks.
8. Using the friends/family option for sales transactions to try and evade Paypal fees and risk of disputes.
9. Too many disputes/claims.
10. Violating their acceptable use policy as per link.

Unfortunately, you're pretty much out of luck here. PayPal has a history of arbitrarily locking accounts and then refusing to give a reason unless threatened with some sort of legal action. Filing a complaint might yield some answers, but since you're outside of the US I'm not really sure where that complaint would go.
As to the money, in theory you can get it out after 180 days. However, there are many people who end up having to fight PayPal to get that money out. If you run into problems, arbitration might be the only solution, but I'd hold off on that until you've had a chance to get the money out the regular way.
Sorry I couldn't be more help, but I'm more sorry that PayPal treats its users like this.
