Is it better to send passport or government I.D for identity confirmation?

I'm from UK, living in Czech Republic now. Is it better to send passport or government I.D for identity confirmation?

It only asks for one ID on the dropdown menu. 

I have a UK passport, but also a temporary residents card.

Can I send both?
