I received counterfeit goods and neither eBay or PayPal will refund me.

I received counterfeit goods, I bought on PayPal credit and I’m still paying monthly for it. It became faulty over the 180 days and I sent it the manufacturer for an in warranty repair. They advised it was counterfeit, confiscated it and sent me a letter to use to get a refund. PayPal and eBay are unwilling to refund me. Any idea how to get my refund?

Ebay provides buyer protection for up to 30 days.

Paypal offers buyer protection for up to 180 days (same as most credit cards).

Anything else is between you and the merchant to sort out.

If the company will not honour the warranty or the item is fake then as long as it was a UK seller try the small claims court?

I should have mentioned that the eBay seller deleted their account so they are unreachable.
