I'm paranoid, will I get scammed?

Hello, I am using PayPal for the first time and I have no idea how this works. So basically I'm trying to sell my in-game items and account for IRL money. And I have a buyer but I was thinking if he pays me and I give my game account to the buyer can they get their money back even though I didn't scam them. Please respond fast I'm paranoid.

I just signed up today and got an email that is a scam.  I'm furious as it said I sent a payment of $894.99 for an Iphone12 which I didn't authorize or do.  If this comes out of my bank account for some reason then I'm cancelling!!

Virtual sales are very high risk of scam transactions.

You have very little seller protection so proceed with caution if you are going ahead.

Personally i would prefer bank transfer but that is dependent on whether you can do that in your country.
