Which dispute type did you open? non receipt/not as described/unauthorised???
Did you escalate to a claim within 20 days of opening the dispute or did the dispute auto close at 20 days?
If you escalated then what was paypals decision and did the seller provide a tracking number?
Were you asked to return the item back to the seller and did you do so with tracking supplied back to paypal?
You need to provide some information, we can't just guess.

You still haven't said which dispute type you opened.
But normally any cancellation is between you and the merchant, paypal only covers you for non receipt of item OR item received but not as described.
