Facebook MarketPlace Scam?

I was selling an item on Facebook Marketplace. A buyer agreed on price but insisted on paying via PayPal. As in PayId but with PayPal, I provided my PayPal email. It's very secure, 2FA Strong Password. Have I been scammed and how? I'm trying to work it out. No money arrived.

If no funds arrived then you have not been paid.

Check funds were sent to the correct email address without any typos.

Check that they sent in your currency and not theirs if different.

Make sure you have confirmed your email address.

Lastly be very careful you don't get a fake scam paypal email saying you have been paid but it won't show in your balance until you have provided item / cash to upgrade or other fake reasons.
