I thought paypals whole platform was a safe way to purchase online. However, the first time I get scammed they deny the claim! I tried to buy a purse for my mom. When I paid via paypal it showed up as a donation to Giovanni [removed] with no contact information. I cannot find the website again, and the screenshot I took of the transaction details somehow only showed up as a pic of the purse!! I send all of this info to paypal resolutions and they denied the claim saying it didnt meet the criteria?!? I will never use paypal again. I cant believe the treatment.

You choose the merchants you purchase from not Paypal so its up to you to make sure they are reputable.
Paypal transfers your payments safely as they are a payment processor. As well they give you 'some' buyer and 'some' seller protection.
So you read up on those policies and then risk assess your transactions.
Even credit cards don't give you 100% protection.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
