So....
1) item advertised on Facebook
2) You buy two of them, pay via PayPal $29.90
3) Item arrives, nothing like as described and is damaged
4) Seller offers small percentage as refund, I refuse.
5) Escalate the complaint in Paypal
5) PayPal state I need to send back, tracked, and the seller has to confirm delivery before a refund will be issued, before 4 January
6) Tracked postage costs more than I’d get in a refund
7) Seller wins..
I end up out of pocket with a broken item that is different in every way (size, materials, quality) from what I ordere, plus I ordered two and didn’t receive them
Paypal are allowing this scam to happen. I should have lied and simply said I never eeceived it

I have posted the information that I gave you, hundreds of times and you are the first one that has taken offence to it.
Most say thanks for the information and they will now know how to avoid the scammers.
And then there is you !!!
Oh, and the 'do I work for Paypal line' is SO original 😁
Guess reading is not your forte or you would see that the folks that work for paypal are called MODERATORS.
And the word VOLUNTARY means giving up your time without payment (in case you haven't worked that one out).
However I will say that the hundreds that have thanked me for helping them get their money back more than outweighs the odd folk like you.
Have a great day now...............bye.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Maybe its because you are unhelpful in this thread. I am not stupid. The link looked completely legitimate and was a common item. There was no obvious indications of a scam. It looked like a legitimate business website. The fact that there is ZERO recourse to get help from PayPal is the issue I am posting about. I didn't need advice on scams or warnings about ordering things online. Telling me to not order online is probbaly not the advice PayPal wants you giving. That was unhelpful and not the content of the thread. I order things online daily for work and personal. I'm well aware of scams. This was a very targeted and professional operation. Right down to them knowing what information to forget to include in the return address. So acting as if I could have avoided this by following your simple tips is insulting. I wanted help with PayPal not doing anything to assist with this and letting obvious scammers keep my money. How to get ahold of someone to get a real person to review my case. Or how to appeal.
I'm sure others appreciate your efforts. Your tips were fine but wholly misplaced. I certainly did not intend to insult your volunteer status only your "advice," to my particular case but if my snippy comment about you working for PayPal is tossed out so much that you are immune to it maybe there is something to that. Have a great day.
