You need to reach out to customer services.

However you can normally only appeal if you have new information that was not available to paypal when they made their original decision.

Ok so you can't do it from the resolution centre? My case failed because the fake goods I was sold needed to be sent back to China at my cost before the seller would refund me. This would be more than what I paid initially so I didn't send them back. This seems wrong to me. I no point was the seller asked to prove that goods were genuine. Where is the buyer protection? In the event of a dispute you choose your seller and not Paypal so you need to bear in mind possible return trackable costs before you go ahead and buy from that seller / country.

Paypal state this >>
IMPORTANT: You may be required to return the item to the seller or other party we specify as part of the settlement of your claim. PayPal Buyer Protection does not entitle you to reimbursement for the return shipping costs that you may incur.

You also have the option to do a chargeback via your card issuer instead of a Paypal dispute if you funded your Paypal payment via a credit card.

Yeh I take your point but it still stinks 😃 All my PayPal purchases will now be funded by credit card 👍

Good plan, I always fund my purchases with a credit card as it gives you a second level of protection.

But in this case they often turn you down anyway if you used the friends/family option for purchasing goods/services.
