Account limited after completing promts

I had disputed an a charge from a company I canceled my account to over 3 months ago. Paypal said it could take several days because they needed to reach out to the seller and get a response. The charge was almost $100 and I needed that money, as I was not supposed to be charged and didn't account for it. I decided to try disputing it through my bank (I thought because it was a charge through PayPal, I would need to do it through PayPal) and my bank immediately refunded the money and if they came back saying it wasn't approved, they debit the money. So, a few days later PayPal approved the refund and I saw it in my account. It was pending, so I assumed, since they have access to my bank account info, they'd see it was refunded and debit my bank where they credited. Instead, they debited my PayPal account, so now it's negative and placed my account on hold for "possible fraud" because my account got debited for money and now it's negative. Which I don't understand how this was something they did and immediately placed my account on hold. Anyway, I went through each of the promts, completed all of them, but the one that says "resolve negative balance" has the green "resolve" button like I haven't completed the promt. When I click it, it says, "you have already resolved your negative balance"........so......how can I get my account off hold?? I tried to chat with the AI thing and it doesn't even understand my simple text saying, "account still limited after I resolved all promts". It just kept giving me messages about specific payments on hold.....how do I get my account fixed? This also was only an issue because of how PayPal decided to debit the money. They credit my bank, but debited my PayPal. They then sent an email saying something about them debiting the account because they noticed my bank already took care of it, which was fine. All in the same 60 seconds of that email, I get another one saying to "please resolve the negative balance in my PayPal", then the next was they're "putting my account of hold" and another ones, but it doesn't make sense. They gave me less then 60 seconds to resolve the negative balance that THEY caused! Why didn't they debit my bank account where they credited it? Anyway, how do I fix my account? Anyone know? Thank you!

I would close my account. PayPal has been restricting access to their own customers money for way too long. They do whatever they want and they will continue to [Removed] people out of their money because most people just give up. Contact the Department of Justice and report them for banking fraud. They have access to your real financial institution and caused you damage so I am sure there is something that the Department of Justice can do for you. Also contact the federal consumer protection agency and the better business bureau. PayPal is not advertising to be a debt collector so they should not be able to act like one. Get it right PayPal. Before your actions cause you to lose many many customers.

Yeah, it's pretty [removed] up. They put my account on hold on "possible fraud" on a transaction they did themselves.....and now, they just aren't going to take ny account off hold? I'm going to try calling and see what they say and if someone can help me. I'll update on the answer. Thanks

I have a similar problem. The button to resolve the balance in my account is still active even if my account is already balanced. The other tasks are already completed but nothing happens in regard to resolving the problem.

That's EXACTLY what mine is doing. I tried emailing the Support email, but got a reply back saying this is no longer a working email and listed how to get help.....that list was just the "help" section that just gives you general answers, or the AI chat that I already tried also and that is just a joke. So they literally offer no actual help. I'm going to try to find a number to call today. I'll probably end up closing my account. This is so crazy. This all just screams, "I don't give a crap about my customers or their "problems" even when those "issues" are caused by paypal and our crappy interface."

When I click the "Resolve" button at the "Account balance" point (not sure if that's the exact name in English, because I am in Germany) then a new dialog appears and in the new dialog there is a link. You get there to the page you mentioned I guess where you can ask questions, but if you scroll to the bottom then there are "Other Options", and one of them is a "Call us" button. When you click it then you get a PIN and a phone number. Not sure if this is the same in other countries but at least that's what is shown in Germany. I just didn't call yet because I am still waiting but if nothing happens in the next few days then I will call them, too.
