I recently purchased something that I now realize to be shady. Within one hour of purchasing I now getting daily attempts into my account from someone(s). I’ve changed my password and removed my bank account, I have 2-step verification. I’ve been unable to remove my credit card. They have also charged me a 30% tax on the amount that I agreed up which included S&H in the total already. They charged that agreed upon pending amount and then refunded it same day while charging this new increased charge. I received no receipt other than from PayPal which is how I learned of the increased amount. After realizing the error often ways I immediately filled out a dispute and emailed the company directly from the info provided by PayPal (probably an idiot move?) to cancel my order. The dispute has been resolved by PayPal that they are just due to additional fees, shipping charges, or currency conversion rates’ and that I can get a copy of the documentation that they decided. So far I’ve been unsuccessful with making a ‘hide my email’ email as primary or changing my user name but will look into further. I’ve disputed with my credit card company. Any insight/advice appreciated for this neophyte.
