Hi Im disable and i dont speak english very well. I live in uk. I bought a computer through paypal and the seller did not send it. i open dispute in paypal but seller dont answer and case After some time was automatically closed and paypal can no longer help me. reason for closing the case: The case you opened regarding the payment to Bruce Coutts was automatically closed because you didn't escalate it before 7 October 2022. Once a case has been closed, it can't be reopened or escalated to a PayPal claim. I thought I had done everything from my side. I didn't get a laptop for this open dispute that i didint know that something else needs to be done. And I didn't know that if he didn't answer I would lose my money. I thought that PayPal protects my money. . Paypal message: "I'm afraid that if the case has been closed due to a not-escalated reason, we won't be able to reopen it. You can contact your card issuer/bank to find out what dispute options they have. They should be able to reverse the payment on your behalf and look into this further. -Rajesh" I tried contact witm my llods bank and Their answer. "Thank you, as you haven't received goods you have agreed to pay for using PayPal, and PayPal have collected a DD from your account, you aren't covered through the DD Guarantee. Please try to contact PayPal again directly, as PayPal offer their own buyer protection scheme and may be able to help." So I Contact paypal again. And answer was: "I totally understand your situations Vytautas, You have done all the steps and process correctly, But only issue was you haven't escalate the case within or before the given time frame. There was an reminder email sent to your ID ********* on October 4, 2022 saying ( This case will automatically close on 7 October 2022 if you can't reach an agreement with the seller and if the case isn't escalated. ) And if there was an option to reopen or apply the dispute sure we can be helping you without any delay from our end. I have checked with our team and there was no alternative options from our end." And paypal offer to me £40Coupon. I didnt see reopen option and I thought when the time was up I would get my money back. So is it possible Somehow to get my money back?

A dispute is for you and the seller to try and work something out.

If the seller does not reply OR you are not satisfied with their answers then you can escalate to a claim at any time within 20 days.

Once you escalate to a claim Paypal becomes involved.

However if you do NOT escalate then it times out and closes automatically at 20 days.

Sadly you did not escalate and you can't re-open a dispute or start a second one.

If you funded your paypal payment via a credit card you could try your card issuer and see if they will chargeback for you?

However when you opened a dispute it does tell you in the email you receive that you have to escalate to a claim.

English is not my first language, this small mistake a little cost me. Without Possibilities to fix it. Lloyds bank will not do anything because paypal will take the money from the account. Is it anyway in uk somewhere to report seller. his is scamer and His website redefyn.com Which is still working.

I tried but paypal only offered a £40 voucher. Cannot reopen or open a new one case. And no one cares about that the seller is scamer.
