Wrong email address

I was sent money but I entered the email address wrong but the payment was sent and completed so is there any way to refund the money back ??? I opened a case but I closed it by mistake and no one answered me in paypal support .. so what should I do?

You'll need to contact the recipient to request a refund.


To see the recipient’s contact details:

  1. Go to Activity.
  2. Click the transaction.
  3. Use the contact information or Message [Recipient’s Name] link on this page to contact the recipient.

If needed, have to also try to contact PayPal support again for help to reopen your the dispute, if they are willing to.

Scroll down to click “Message Us” or “Call Us” option on the bottom.

I believe you can request a refund from the recipient through the resolution center in general because of wrong email address or wrong account as the reason. If it is a friends and family payment, PayPal buyer protection does not apply.
