New account set up to receive money from sales on a (legal) website. First sale of c£30, account closed and money stolen by paypal!
What did I do!? No explanation and refuse to tell, just say 'dangerous activity' or some such nonsense.
How does anyone use these criminals?

Hello @nh40,
Welcome to the PayPal Community! I can certainly understand how seeing your account has been permanently limited right after your first payment can be a bit more than concerning. Normally, when an account is limited, it's an attempt to gather more information regarding you, your business, or account activity. If your account has been limited permanently, it's normally due to some kind of Acceptable User Agreement violation. You should have received an email with as much information that can usually be shared, but you're welcome to reach out to our Customer Support teams to see if they can answer any other questions you may have. Bear in mind, they will not be able to change the restriction or restore functionality to your account.
My apologies for any inconvenience this has caused,
- Jon K

If you have been told your Paypal account has been permanently limited then Paypal tends to hold any funds for 180 days. This is the same time frame that buyers have to open Paypal disputes.
If no disputes are opened in 180 days then normally you are allowed to withdraw the funds. That is as long as you are over 18, account is in your legal name and the account is registered in the country where you reside.
Sometimes they confiscate funds under this policy.

Paypal also may request further documentation from you before you can withdraw those funds.
Contact options for Paypal are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages...
1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.
Or
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

What happens when you have a Permanent Limitation on your account and you have never, nor do you have a Business Account? I have contacted Customer Support every day for a week, and have gotten zero answers.
