I just received a text message telling me my account has been restricted and I need to provide my information to a link they provided.Does PayPal send these kind of messages through a text instead of an email?

I got the exact text at 4.52 am. I have a dispute claim with paypal and thought it might have to do with that. Instead of clicking on the link i messaged the paypal assistant and they said i had no limitation on my account. Did yours say within 24 hours respond?

You may want to first run a virus scan, just to make sure that you didn't pick something up from clicking any links. You can also read more about how to spot fake emails here by clicking on this link.
